The aspens are really glowing now. They are very pretty and every year make me homesick for the glorious Michigan autumns and my extended family. Lots of memories.
I made Rhonda Jean's barmbrack bread on Sunday (check out her post for August 12 if you would like her recipe) and we've been having it toasted with butter each morning for breakfast. It is a yummy Irish bread made with lots of currants and raisins that are soaked in strong black tea. I used the chai black tea that Madeline left in the cupboard when she went off to school. The chai spice did a nice thing with the fruit.
